For many behavior challenges, our first instinct is to ask, \u201cHow do I get this to stop?\u201d \u00a0This question may lead to implementing short term fixes rather than developing long term solutions. At Pyramid, we recognize the importance of developing the crucial skills our learners need to actually replace unwanted behaviors with an action that is equally effective for them. \u00a0Using the principles of applied behavior analysis, we emphasize the use of systematic reinforcement and instruction in functional activities and communication skills in order to decrease the targeted behaviors.
